We are proud to offer Neogen Sanitation Test Kits and Foodborne Bacteria Test Kits.

This is a short overview of their products - for further information, please visit http://www.neogen.com/sanitation.htm and http://www.neogen.com/foodbornebacteria.htm

Overview Sanitation:

Neogen offers sanitation monitoring test kits to detect adenosine triphosphate (ATP), a substance found in all animal, vegetable, bacteria, yeast and mold cells; food protein residues; and microbial contamination.

AccuPointSanitation Monitoring System measures the ATP collected from food contact surfaces or liquids as an indication of the cleanliness of the surface or purity of the liquid. AccuPoint works by measuring the light created when ATP contacts a reagent in the system’s unique sampling devices. The higher the levels of food residue and microorganisms in a surface or water sample, the more ATP, and the more light produced.

AccuClean™ is a simple test for the detection of protein and some sugars on food production surfaces. This fully self-contained test requires no instrument for reading and can be operated with a minimum of training. It’s ideal for food service applications and food processors who want an objective, inexpensive and quick method to gauge their sanitation levels but cannot justify a full ATP sanitation monitoring program.

Hygicult® products are agar slides specially designed to enable reliable, economic and timesaving monitoring of microbiological hygiene. Use directly on the work surface, dip into fluids or transfer from a conventional swab.

Colitag™ Definitive Water Test System
The EPA-approved, patented Colitag™ system resuscitates and detects chlorine-injured coliforms and E. coli that other tests can miss. Colitag also allows the simultaneous detection of MUG positive and MUG negative E. coli, along with an optional method of detecting fecal coliforms.

Overview Foodborne Bacteria:

The Soleris™ system is a rapid optical system for the detection of microbial contamination based on an innovative application of classic microbiology familiar to microbiologist. The optical assay measures microbial growth by monitoring pH and other biochemical reactions that generate a color change as microorganisms in the broth grow and metabolize. The results are displayed by color-coded monitoring with an alert on samples out of specification.

Neogen’s Reveal® test systems have everything to complete a pathogen screen, including the enrichment medium. Reveal’s lateral flow device combines an immunoassay with chromatography for a rapid and accurate one-step result. Results are available 15 minutes after enrichment. The tests’ unique antibodies ensure sensitivity and specificity. Built-in visual control lines provide definitive interpretations.

Both the GeneQuence™ microwell assay and
GENE-TRAK
® dipstick method utilize a novel genomic technology for the detection of Salmonella, Listeria, and Listeria monocytogenes. Both platforms exploit the high specificity of DNA hybridization (antibody based for E.coli O157:H7 GeneQuence Assay) where positive interactions result in a simple, easy to interpret colorimetric output. Microwell assays can be run manually using a multi-channel pipette, semi-automated via a plate washer and reader, or on our GeneQuence Automated Four-Plate System, allowing up to 4 plates (372 samples) to be processed simultaneously.

Neogen’s ISO-GRID™ and NEO-GRID™ membrane filtration systems utilize hydrophobic grid membrane filter technology to detect and quantify target organisms.

Colitag™ is a selective and differential medium for the determination of the presence or absence of total coliforms and E. coli in drinking water, and surface and source water samples.

Hygicult® products are agar slides specially designed to enable reliable, economic and timesaving monitoring of microbiological hygiene. Use directly on the work surface, dip into fluids or transfer from a conventional swab. See our Sanitation Test Kits section for a full description of the Hygicult product line.
